JANICE GABRIEL (Theatre Arts/Language Arts Teacher) Ms. Gabriel is very excited to be returning to Newtown High School for the 2016-2017 school year.  She is excited to be returning to the world of theatre and to be teaching Public Speaking, Writing through Film and American Literature as well.   

Ms. Gabriel received her bachelors degree from Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC and her masters degree from The University of Georgia in Athens, GA.  Prior to teaching, she spent quite a few years working in marketing on some pretty cool brands.  She was lucky enough to work on the Pepsi, Lipton, Golden Corral, Hershey's, Diageo, and Kellogg's accounts. 

Ms. Gabriel has been working in theatre for many years as a performer, stage manager, producer, etc.  She has worked with many local theatres including Brookfield Theatre for the Arts, Two Planks Theater Company, Musicals at Richter, The Warner Theatre, Theatreworks New Milford and Wilton Theatre.  She hopes that we will all have a fantastic year at NHS!
